As you may be aware, we have the club sprint championships coming up on the 16th September at the Dolphin Centre.
I am pleased to confirm that we successfully applied for a licence (Level 4) and therefore any times achieved on the evening will be uploaded onto the ASA official times database. They can then be recognised for entry to the 2018 County Championships if the qualifying time is achieved.
In order to run the event legally as a licensed level 4 gala, there is a minimum number of qualified officials required for the evening – I believe that I have lined up both a referee and starter for the evening but I do also need qualified judges (J1 / J2 / J2S) and any qualified timekeepers to volunteer their services. Without the correct number of officials, we will not be in a position to submit the times achieved as official to the ASA. Therefore I would ask anyone that has a suitable qualification to contact me asap to confirm if they could help on the evening at firstname.lastname@example.org
I have attached the form and outline conditions for the championships to this post. Please note the closing date – entries received after this date may not be accepted due to the work involved in preparing the event. I have set the closing date as midnight on Monday the 11th September which is only a few days prior to the event.
The events on the evening will be 25m in all 4 strokes for swimmers under 9.
All swimmers 9 and over can enter 50m events in all 4 strokes and the 100m Individual Medley.
Note – only the 50m and 100IM times will be uploaded to the ASA times database.
Could you please complete the form and pass to Matt, myself, Geraldine Bray or Lindsay Mansell before the closing date along with the correct entry fee asap.
Many thanks & I look forward to seeing you on the evening.
